Peanut allergen

Peanuts are among the most common food allergens.

MedlinePlus lists peanuts among the foods that most often cause food allergies. Peanut allergy can cause serious reactions, including anaphylaxis.

People with a food allergy may be allergic to more than one food. Symptoms usually start within minutes to two hours after eating.

Avoid peanut if you are allergic. Carry epinephrine if prescribed by your clinician.
