Glass fragments

Broken glass from jars or containers that contaminates food.

FoodSafety.gov notes that some food poisoning cases can be linked to contaminants in food.

Glass is a serious physical hazard because fragments can cut the mouth, throat, or digestive tract.

If you find glass in food, stop eating it and keep the package if safe to do so.
