Plastic fragments

Pieces of plastic from packaging or equipment that end up in food.

FoodSafety.gov describes food poisoning as illness from eating contaminated food, including some cases linked to contaminants in food.

Plastic in food is a physical hazard. It can pose choking or injury risk rather than infection.

If you find plastic in food, stop using the product and keep the packaging if safe to do so.
